Been awhile since I have written anything I know but what do you do right? Not much new in my world except I am a supervisor full time now which is pretty cool although I gave up a hell of a good shift to do so. The pay raise is nice when I get it; they fucked up on my pay scale yet again and if it is on the next pay all the retro pay is going to be taxed to death. My friend on the other hand has been waiting five weeks for his pay to be changed so he is going to get totally fucked when his pay goes through.

Got myself a new tattoo on the back of my arm it is a koy fish and yes it hurt like a son of a bitch but it is very nice job. It means fortune or luck or meeting your goals in life pick your poison. Me I have gotten married, been happy and have a have decent job does not get much better than that. Considering when I was younger I though I would drink myself to death and die in an alley or a ditch somewhere. God looks after fools and drunks they say and I guess I have full qualifications I guess. This Monday I am getting another tattoo then I have 4 or more to go then I will be done, but! Tattoos are very addictive so who knows right? I know me and my wife are both going to get a matching one with our names under it. But anyway enough of this rambling got to go the race is coming on (Bristol Baby!) and then I got to get ready to head to work have a good one talk to you all later.

I wonder if the society in North America is obsessed with death as a whole. This idea has been bouncing around in my head lately because all you see on TV Is violence and death. Think of all the action movies that are released. I wonder if this stems from the fact we have no idea what will happen to us when we die. When you die do you teeter on the edge of that big black abyss and fall down into the darkness forever? Hopefully there is something more, I have a couple of people I would like to come back and haunt periodically. Speaking of haunting I do believe there is something extra in this house.

When we first moved in I was up late having a few beer listening to some music with my headphones on and over the music I could swear I could hear the cupboards in the laundry room opening and closing. So I chalked this off as new house noises and cracked another beer and went back to my business. Another night I was here at the computer with a wicked buzz on listening to music with the head phones on (this is when I was on the 6 to 3 shift and I did not want to wake my wife) and I was sitting there playing spider solitaire while sipping on some suds. All of a sudden I had this feeling that there was some one there. Quick glance and a shrug nope no one there, then I got this image in my head that there was an old man standing behind me staring at me. I can see him now when I think back but I cannot describe him to you written words would not be suffice. So I got totally weirded out and got sobered up really fast. So I turned everything off and said good enough you win I going to bed.

The next time my friend Paul came over after work to borrow some DVD’s, when we entered to porch we both head some one walking across the floor over heads, then coming down the stairs. Looks like we woke someone up he said, so we walked to the living room no one there. I went up stairs and my wife and son were asleep, very strange.

So my wife kept telling me she hears someone walking around downstairs when I am not home I figured it was bass from car stereos when they are driving down the road because that gets loud sometimes or something similar. Well I heard it as well one night so I do believe her now. There are a couple of more things but I am not going to get into it, it does not to seem to be as active when I am around which is kind of perplexing to me. I do not feel like it means any harm which is a relief. The house is only 60 years old but who knows if there was another house on this foundation or the history of the land. I just wish it would behave itself in the night so my wife would not get freaked out.

The weekend is here finally; my new shift has me working 10 hours days with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. I am not complaining about the new shift mind you my job is really not that hard at all. Mostly all the people who I get are computer technicians which makes it easier for me to do my job with out pulling my hair out. As well we are troubleshooting notebooks which makes it even better because there are only so many things you can trouble shoot for before you have to send a part and a tech to put in said part. Plus as an added bonus at the end of the day I sign off the phone and just leave no bullshit to put up with. So on the home front everything is settling down thank god because if not I was on the verge of freaking out or walking into traffic, grinds you down after awhile I guess. So I am looking forward to relaxing this weekend and spending some much needed quality time my the love of my life.

Getting very tired of this whole situation the last couple of weeks everything I do seems to scrutinized and if I go near the computer I have an audience every single god damn fucking time. I feel like a ball of seething rage that is starting to build up inside of me. I am very tired of be accused of something that I have not done and if it keeps up I may just start doing these things so then I guess the other person will have justification. So in short you call all fuck off.

Well now I am in training for a different contract now that my stint as a temp supervisor is over and I am bored out of my skull. Mind you the idea of going to a new contract does not bother me nor does the fact I have this week and next week to sit in a class room and get paid to do nothing. It is just the boredom and the people I am forced to endure, why is there always one of two people who has to make a comment on every single thing the instructor says? I hate those people maybe that is the only way they can get attention. There are bunch of them whom we have called the hens, and the area they sit in is now dubbed the hen pen.

Other that that everything is going good in my world, it soon be time for Daytona to kick things off so Sundays will be good old watching the race day again. Cannot wait actually some people like football and we like racing go figure hunh? Hopefully we will get to go to a race this year but if not next year for sure I hope.

So the other night I had a nightmare of sorts and here it is,

I was in a house and I was going down to the basement (possibly cellar) with a woman who was my wife although it was no body I had ever seen or recognized in my life. We had to go down an old set of wooden stairs to get to the basement and the wood had that old faded weathered look to them like they had been bleached in the sun for years. When we got to the bottom of the stirs that rich earthly smell assaulted my nose. That deep smell you get sometimes when you are digging a hole for example so rich and deep it had made my head swim. So we were going down there because our daughter was down there swimming. Now there was no pool down there but a big pit dig in the floor and the water she was swimming in was looked like hot chocolate and she was so pale swimming around in there. We the woman I was with told her she had to stop and get out because she had a temperature and need to get out before it got worse. So the young girl got out and dried off and pouted. The woman went up stairs for some reason or another leaving me alone with this young girl. She begged we to let her go back swimming for a little while longer and I was adamant I could not and picked up a long piece of wood sort of like a two by four and I had to uncontrollable urge to bring it upstairs. While I was walking up with it I heard her say she was going to tell on me, and when I reached the top I heard a mummer of her talking to someone. I stood the piece of wood upright in the corner and turned towards the door going to the basement and paused. I had a sense that there was something deathly wrong down there and I should not go. I moved towards the door slowly and stepped to the left slowly so I could get a look at the stairs. When I got close to the door a garden rake came through the air at my face. One of those flexible leaf rake but instead of being a jolly green color it was pure white. To me it looked like a hand grabbing at me. So when I ducked I felt the wind its passage go over my head and ripple the hair on the back of my neck. Down at the bottom of the stairs near the wall was a man? Standing there with a buck skin colored jacket and a back hat pulled down over his head and his collar was pulled up so I could not see his face except his Cheshire cat type of grin and the silver glow of its eyes. The handle on the rake was impossibly long and it would have been comical had it not seemed so terrifying. The little girl was looking at me solemnly and said see I told you I was going to tell, you should have let me go swimming. Then that rake/ hand reached for me again and I opened my eyes and looked at the clock on my dresser 4:00 am. My heart was beating like a bass drum and I had a full body suit of goose bumps. When I closed my eyes again I felt the warm comforting feeling of sleep steal over me again and when I looked up in my dream I was standing at a angle of that doorway to the basement again. I knew I had to move but I dreaded the though of looking down there again. Finally I lurched into movement and headed to the door and looked down there. Nothing, I took at step down and grabbed the railing in my right hand and felt the wood throbbing in my hand and a sense of dread stole over my body that was so palatable I could taste it. I knew if I went down those steps I would never return and that would be the end of me. My eyes snapped open again and the clock said 4:30 am this time I was covered in a cold sweat. Not sure why this dream was so scary to me but it was strange but there you go.

Well another year is almost up and it has been a pretty good year so far. I had the best Christmas in years even though I had to work ten days straight. We have signed the mortgage on the house and have traded our car in for a truck so we are not complaining. This weekend coming up I get too go out with the bosses while they get shit-faced and I will get a chance to see how they act when they are not under the microscope. I have Saturday, Sunday and Monday off to spend some quality time with my wife and I am happy about that to say the least.

Yesterday I finished watching the Godfather DVD collection I received for Christmas, I had never seen all three movies before I had only seen the last one and I got to say wow. First they are long as hell much to my delight and I thought they were very good to say the least. What can you say a mob movie with Al Pacino bravo. Anyway gotta run talk to you all later have a good one.

How about this weather we are having lately? I hope this is a good sign for this winter and we do not have as much snow as last year. Everything on the home front is going good I applied for a supervisor job about two weeks ago because they are looking for a bunch at work and I start as a temporary supervisor on Sunday which is a little something to add on to the resume. I know there is more work and pressure to the job but it will be nice just for something new to do. Other than that nothing new with me at all except that Christmas is coming and I have to get my act in gear and figure out what I am going to get for my family. So got to go talk to you all later have a good one.

Been busy what can I say? We have finished the mammoth task of fixing up the bathroom and it turned out pretty good in my opinion. Got rid of all the horrible blue that had invaded the room and added some much need color. Been busy at work and busy at home and not much time to sit in front of the computer but what can you say when you have a life.I put a link on here so you can see the before and after pictures in case anybody feels like having a look. Anyway got to go and relax tomorrow is hump day woohoo! Hope it is not to stormy tonight talk you all later.

Saturday, September 17, 2005

Well another weekend is here thank god, not much on the agenda for this weekend. We are fixing up the bathroom and I will need to go up and take some before and after pictures because when we are finished I do not think it will look like it was in the same house. Also for some reason the people who owned the hose at some point in time covered over the entire hard wood floor with carpet. Who knows why but when they had painted the house at some point the spilled paint all over the said hardwood floor and never cleaned it off so I think we will just rip up the carpet and put down a floating floor I guess.

Work is going ok I a really digging the 9 to 6 shift with Saturday and Sunday off for however long it lasts. However the number of supervisor calls I have to take in the run of a day is skyrocketing.

Call up and cannot get your own way? ask for a supervisor.

Do not pay for your service for 5 months the account gets closed and turns off your service? Ask for a supervisor.
These are just a few examples I am not going to bore you with the really stupid ones though, I just wonder what the fixation that Americans have with talking to a supervisor I wonder? They seem to think they have power only equaled to god or something. Who the hell knows, anyway got to go talk to you all later.

Wednesday, September 07, 2005

Well have not posted here in awhile because I was not sure what to say to tell you the truth. In the last couple of weeks I have had a birthday and changed my shift to a 9 to 6 with Saturday and Sunday off. Also I have started help do some of the remodeling of the bathroom with my wife. So not too much to write home about as it were, lots going on in the world though but all that talk about hurricanes is growing old to me. I think if it happened in Africa not a whole lot of people would have noticed, because there are a lot of atrocities that have happened over there lately and I never see them even mentioned. Anyway got to go talk to you all later.

Thursday, August 04, 2005

I am giving serious thoughts to going back to school; in fact I am pretty sure I will be doing just that. Once I figure out what I want to be when I grow up, hard to pick one area when there are so many choices out there. I am sick of working in a call center and I need to get a real job I guess if there are any out there. The grind is killing me slowly one day at a time, the same whiners, suck up and management that could mismanage a lemonade stand. Whatever I pick it is going to have something to do with computers because I have had my fill of manual labor in my life. I am thinking about starting down the road to getting my MCSE and then learning networking and system’s management. Might be interesting I am thinking. Anyway got to go and get ready to head to work to see how much shit I can get my self into today.

Friday, July 29, 2005

Well I am back home after a couple of days on the road, I am enjoying my vacation let me tell you. We are after driving down to Maine to have a look around, we visited Bangor and Portland but to be honest we did not see a whole lot to buy. Prices are not as cheap as you would expect a far cry from when I was down there a couple of years ago but let me tell you beer is very cheap! I bought back a fine haul with me. So what did we do with all of our money? We spent it in Moncton which has a better mall than both of the ones we had visited in the U.S. not once did we break out the camera either which I found amusing to tell you the truth because usually you would see at least one thing of interest to snap a picture of but no nothing tickled my fancy. But what can you do right? We found a good store in the mall in Moncton that sells NASCAR merchandise and we dropped quite the few dollars there. My wife was like a kid in a candy store much the same way I am when let lose in a Chapters store. Anyway got to go and enjoy my next couple of days off have a good one talk to you all later.

Tuesday, July 12, 2005

Started on my new shift schedule yesterday and I am liking it, since before Christmas I have been working from 6pm to 3am with Sunday and Monday off, now I am working from 3pm to 12am with Saturday and Sunday off. It was weird getting off so early last night but it was a pleasant change of pace. Although the pit fall of the new shift was that I only had one day off this past weekend, could be worse though I guess. For example I went to barbecues this weekend had the food on the grill and came inside to check to see how the race was going and when I went back out and lifted the lid the grill was gone out and I could not smell the propane so I knew the wind had not blown the grill out again. So I had run out of propane what a major drag we will have to refill the tank again this weekend. I am looking forward to this weekend it will seem like a normal life again having Sat and Sun off with my wife. Barbecue, mowing the lawn (if it ever stops raining), some cold suds and some racing, good deal all around.

Tuesday, July 05, 2005

Back to the grind again today where does the time go so quickly I wonder? Two days off seem to pass by so quickly. I am already counting down the days until next weekend sad the way I am wishing my life away. I have found my self in a battle with a couple of ant colonies as of late. There are about six or seven ant nest in my back yard and I have managed to kill one nest so far the little buggers are tough let me tell you. I would burn them out but with the weather the way it is the last couple of days it is too dry to attempt that. The yard we have is pretty big the piece of land is 110 feet wide and around 210 feet long so it is a fair bit too mow, next year I am going to get a ride on lawn mower I think. on Saturday night while I was at work the was a thunder and lighting storm and the victim of this storm was our T.V set. Mind you it was 8 or 9 years old so I could have been worse so yesterday we went out and got a new 27 inch flat screen model. Not the 57 inch behemoth I had been hoping for but that one is down the road after we get finished fixing up the house. We need a couple of new windows first and some new flooring before a new T.V I guess. Anyway got to go some yard work beckons and then I have to get ready to head to work.

Wednesday, June 15, 2005

Another new week at work for me yesterday was my Monday and for a change of pace work was not that bad last night. I have to go outside and putter around and do my yard work today because it is supposed to rain until Saturday according to the forecast so there is now way I will do it on my days off because I just want to relax.
Not much new in my world except I was wondering at work last week during the quiet time at work if somebody has cloned a human in secret yet. I am guessing yes, would not surprise me if a government sponsored project has not accomplished this somewhere around the world. I wonder how long before cloning turns to genetic engineering to turn a person into a new and improved version human 2.0 if you will. Imagine for example if you took the pure physical strength from a gorilla for example and put it in a human. Would be a strong motherfucker let me tell you. Then again our luck something would go wrong the subjects would run amok and we would begin our descent into Planet Of The Apes. Although with our ever increasing dependency on technology who knows what will happen maybe we will end up with a bunch of robots doing our dirty work for us. Nothing cooler than robots in my book except if they are ones like the terminator thems bad ones. Got to go my over grown lawn awaits have a good one everybody.

A dime has 118 ridges around the edge

Bet you did not know that now did you? neither did I, stumbled across that little tid bit on the good old information highway today.

Wednesday, June 01, 2005

What a long day, I got home last night around 3:15 brushed my teeth and went to bed and the last time I looked at the clock it was almost 4:30 and guess what I had to be up at eight. The guys came today and did their magic on the ceiling and at 10 I had to go to work for an interview for a different position not my strongest moment I must say I must have looked like a zombie, but I had held my own I think. So who knows if I get it great and if not well I gave it a try. I am over tired now and I don’t know if I will be able to sleep or not. I have not been this punchy in a long time since I have been in the military I think. Lately I have been eyeing the international news on Globe and Mail and CNN and I am amazed at the chaos in this world the fact that we have survived all of these years of evolution with out killing each other is an amazing feat I think. for example a 8 year old girl I think it was stabbed and killed and 11 year old if memory serves me correct or what? A ball! Enough said.

I watched a documentary on Easter Island the other day on discovery my inner geek needed to be fed I guess but it was interesting as hell. Did you know that they figured the people on the island had resorted to cannibalism at one point in time? Donner party eat you heart out because the population went from around 25,000 I think they said to about 5,000 after the tribal wars settled out, Very interesting stuff especially when talking about the Easter Island statues.

From some of the old reports I have read it seems that the Japanese had killed more people in china during WW2 than the Nazi party when they decided to kill the Jewish and the gypsies etc? Yet you don’t se a big deal made of that in the history books or movies. It seems the Japanese scientist experimented on the people with out the use of drugs; they also had dropped weapons with biological warfare payloads in them.
Just wondering if that would make you think, seeing how a lot of the information points towards how the U.S covered a lot of this up and offered immunity to the Japanese scientist. Wonder why could they have gained something out of this HMMMMM, anyway talk to you all later have a good one everybody.

Monday, May 30, 2005

I have been busy as of late and to be honest sitting in front of a computer is the last thing I had wanted to do. So much too do and so little time. It finally stopped raining for a couple of days so we went and bought a lawn mower so I could cut the grass because let me tell you I was seriously thinking of hiring out somebody’s cow to come and chew the damn stuff off. So we now are the proud owners of a lawn mover and I realized the back yard is a lot bigger than I had anticipated because I was out there about two hours. Although I have to admit the grass was along but still I sweated my ass off out there.

So far since we moved in we have bought,

A stove
A refrigerator (side by side model with ice dispenser and filtered water, life styles of the rich and famous)
A dishwasher
A washer
A dryer
A barbecue
A lawnmower
A new bedroom set, a four poster bed and all the other odds and ends.

On Wednesday a guys is coming to stucco the ceiling so we don’t have to paint it and in about 2 or 3 weeks our new living room set will be delivered I guess. Before Christmas the shag carpet on the floor has to go but so far so good I guess. Yes we are broke but we own everything we have bought home which I am extremely proud of. Only a couple of years ago we were as broke as you can be the poverty line was a dream at that point.

We gave into reality and got ourselves some cell phones, which I am adjusting to carrying around with me. Only two people know my cell phone number and that is the way I want to keep it.

I now spend most of my time with my PS2 or reading which is not too bad I guess, I am in exile when it comes to computer but I have been eyeing the new Mac called the mini Mac and wondering if I should buy one or not, let’s face it if you are a PC user we know little of Mac’s but they are a powerful piece of kit and now they are more affordable I might just get one.

Anyway got to go and relax a bit tomorrow is back to the grind, have a good one everybody.

Friday, April 01, 2005

One more day to go and it is my weekend, I am making a rare stop on the net tonight. I usually do not spend much time in front of the computer, not even to play games anymore like I used to. I reserve that for the PS2 and have shunned the computer mostly because I am around them all day. I am having a good week so far I guess, we have company staying with us again but they are fucking annoying. Funny how people can still grate on your nerves in a big two storey house hunh? So this weekend Is a complete wash because of that I am already looking forward to next weekend. Sad I know I am wishing my life away but there it is. Got to go and stumble to bed I guess talk to you all later.

Wednesday, March 16, 2005

Amazing how long it takes to unpack all the little things that we accumulate over the course of a couple of years? It will soon be done though which is okay I am not really used to having all this space though let me tell you. We had to buy a new stove so the last thing we need for the kitchen is a new refrigerator and a range then that room is done after we put in a new counter top and floor covering. One room at a time and we will have everything set up the way we want it with our own touch to each room. A added bonus is the fact a lot of snow is after melting and the damn stuff will soon be gone which is cool. Well got to go more house work beckons talk to you all later.
